Grantee Address

The Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers (Mass League) is the community health center association of Massachusetts that promotes population health equity for all through leadership and programs supporting community health centers and members in achieving their goals of accessible, quality, comprehensive, and community responsive health care. Mass League has been a long-time partner of DQP and engaged in the Safety Net Solutions program, the National Oral Health Innovation and Integration Network, and more recently through our grantmaking RFPs in 2020. While broadly their work has advanced integrated models of care historically, more recently, their work in 2020 was critical in supporting health center dental programs navigate closing, re-opening and reopening safely. Through this work they were able to bring together an oral health COVID-19 task force comprised of dental directors from across the state. Mass League also was a collaborative partner in the Community Oral Health Transformation Initiative that launched in Massachusetts in 2020.

This proposal centers on bringing health centers together to facilitate the discussion of strategies in order to broaden implementation of telehealth and teledentistry services. As well, they want to continue to build off of initiatives that seek to integrate the social determinants of health into their practice management. Lastly, Mass League will implement an integration Buddy Program whereby health centers with more advanced interprofessional practice models will team up with less advanced health centers to support their efforts in better integrating oral health into primary care. To lead these efforts, they will sponsor and host a learning collaborative with at least 6 health centers, facilitate peer dental forums to elevate best practices, and launch their buddy-program.

This proposal is for $98,835.22 which covers staff time and contractual services associated with facilitating the activities.
