The Coalition’s experience with the First Tooth program will form the basis to expand collaborative efforts in primary prevention of early childhood caries. Planning efforts will focus on expanding to statewide the training of medical and dental providers to become partners in the oral health care of their patients. The Coalition will also work with partners to meet the severely neglected needs of the growing elderly population by developing innovative pilot projects with mid-level dental care providers.
