After some recent changes, Medicare now covers dental care in very specific situations that will help improve a person’s medical treatment. Although Medicare still does not cover most routine dental care, this change will help patients afford the dental care they need to move forward with critical medical care like cancer treatment or an organ transplant.
In this timely webinar, dental teams and offices will learn what Medicare now covers, how they can ensure that their patients get the care they need, and how they can get reimbursed by Medicare for these services.
Learning Objectives
- Identify and describe the specific medical conditions and treatment scenarios in which Medicare now covers dental services.
- Apply Medicare’s billing protocols for covered dental services into current practice operations to ensure efficient management of claims and reimbursements associated with these services.
- Explain the changes related to Medicare dental coverage to dental and medical colleagues and patients.
