The path to optimal health often requires an integrative, empathetic approach. This is especially true when caring for patients undergoing cancer treatments, where oral health plays a pivotal role.

Join CareQuest Institute and the Special Care Dentistry Association for a webinar that will explore pre-treatment evaluation, nutrition and oral health care during treatment, and post-radiation oral care best practices. Our experts will discuss common oral and systemic health complications associated with cancer therapy, and share the importance of personalized, compassionate communication and care.

  • Identify the primary components of pre-treatment evaluation and essential patient information required to provide optimal oral health care to those with head and neck cancer.
  • Describe recommendations for managing oral care and treatment side effects during cancer therapy. 
  • Develop communication skills needed to deliver personalized care, incorporating strategies to address the fears and concerns of patients undergoing surgery, radiation, and/or chemotherapy.
