Improving the oral health care system is a wicked problem. During this first in a series of webinars, we’ll detail what makes our current system a wicked problem and explore efforts being made to reach a future state of oral health care that is equitable and value-based. Content and panelists spotlighted during this webinar series are featured within a recent special issue of the Journal of Public Health Dentistry focusing on value-based oral health care.

Objectives:

  • Define wicked problem and how the current system of oral health care fits the definition.
  • Understand the current state and desired future state of our oral health system as captured during a convening of key stakeholders in oral health.
  • Gain insight on why the Journal of Public Health Dentistry chose to dedicate a special issue to value-based care and understand how content is organized.
