Language barriers can create challenges for both providers and patients, impacting trust, understanding, and treatment outcomes. Our expert speaker will explore the value of language skills in dental settings and share why proper interpretation is essential for high-quality, patient-centered care. Participants will also learn practical Spanish terms for common dental interactions and take part in a short Spanish lesson designed to help foster clearer communication with Spanish-speaking patients.

Learning Objectives

  • Explain the importance of proper interpretation and language access in promoting equitable, patient-centered oral health care for Spanish-speaking populations.
